Our 2025/26 winter season starts 7th October  2025 . This is our eighth annual season and remains just as popular. To date we have not run out of wines to try!

There is no waiting list, you get added to the database of the group and the events are emailed out to the group and its first come first served for the 56 seats ( we are capping it at a max of 56 each time) no saving places for anyone either, each member or pair of members must reply separately to bag their seat.
The reason for the cap of 56 is if it gets bigger it looses its social friendliness and becomes a chaotic  noise!

We meet at The Guernsey Aero Club and times are 15.45 to  17.45 pm . we are continuing our popular format, which is tables of 8, free seating when you arrive. As usual bring your own glass as we hate washing up, and an offering for our share together buffet table.

A journey through the world of wine. The emphasis will be on finding wines we like and moving outside your wine comfort zone - " Discovering New Wines" rather than technical details, although we will try to incorporate facts and tasting notes wherever possible.

This is a chance to reacquaint yourself with some old friends and discover some interesting new ones, "wine" friends and "u3a" friends of course. Each event will have a different theme, either geographical or grape or some other interesting facet.

This is a very social event, but we guarantee you will learn more about wine too. We encourage you to experiment and try something new the next time you shop for wine for special ocasions or just your weekly tipple!

Your convenors are not experts, but do have some years of experience tasting, drinking and "hoarding" wines. Karen and Mark look forward to meeting you soon.

As you will be over the drink drive limit, we suggest cycling, walking or bus or alternatively get a friend to collect you, or a taxi.
