LeRoc is a smooth fusion of jive and latin dance styles which is really easy to learn.
It can be danced at varying speeds basically to anything with 4/4 timing and a bit of a beat. You will find you'll be dancing after your first session. It's very social so you will make new friends, have lots of fun and get some exercise.
The group will be taken by Carol Sheppard a fully qualified dance teacher. She has much experience having qualified as a dance teacher in 1972 and spent 13 years working for Cochrane's Dance School before starting her own called Cats Dance School in 1986.
You don't need anything specific to wear just shoes you would normally wear to dance in, not trainers though as your feet will stick to the floor and you won't be able to turn freely. Also clothing that you can raise your arms up in easily.
The group will meet weekly on Thursday at KGV. The sessions will start at 2.00pm until 3.15pm. Beginners are invited to attend at 1.30pm The cost is £5 per session.
Please contact Carol, by clicking on the Group email, if you require any further information.
